Setelah KONAMI merilis Update 1.02 atau yang dikenal sebagai DLC 1, kini banyak pihak ketiga bermunculan membuat patch untuk Pro Evolution Soccer 2016. Termasuk PTE Team yang sudah mengeluarkan PTE Patch 2.0. Jika pada Patch 1.0 terdahulu tanpa DLC, kini PTE Patch 2.0 dibangun berbasis DLC 1.
PTE Patch 2.0 untuk PES 2016 menampilkan fitur full licensed dengan squad, lineup, kit dan wajah yang sesuai. Lebih dari 100 face telah ditambahkan termasuk Kampl, A. Correa, Rabiot dan Aubameyang. Perbaikan struktur Liga Champion Eropa, penambahan 12 stadium baru dan penambahan bola serta boot yang baru.
Berikut fitur lengkap yang datang bersama PTE Patch 2.0 :

- Added new boots & glooves, including: Speedform, X15.1, Magista, Superfly CR7, Messi 10/10
- Added new balls, including: Ordem3 HI-Vis EPL/LFP/Serie A, Tango Passadena, Torfabrik winter ball
- Added Sleeve Badge for Bundesliga
- Correct managers names for all teams in all the leagues in-game and for european national teams
- Fixed UEFA Champions League Structure
- Added 12 new stadiums, correctly assigned to the respective teams: Camp Nou, Wembley, Da Luz, Stade France, Turk Telekom Arena, Barnabeu, King Fahd, El Monumental, La Bombonera, R. Sanchez Pizjuan, Olympiastadion Berlin, Stadion Narodowy - (NikoLiberty Stadium Pack)
